A Trip to Saskatchewans North
Well hello from the other side.. of this blog :)
As Adeles 2 hour TV special promo echos in my kitchen, and her song Easy on Me plays for the 150th time this morning, all verbiage that pops in my head seems too morph into an Adele lyric.
Trying to think of how to introduce this little blog on our summer trip to a fly in camp on Careen lake in Canadas North.
But I think I will let the photos speak for themselves.
The family
Brother and Sister in law Brian and Jess. Their two brilliant and awesome children. A.K.A niece and nephew Sadie and Grady.
Mom in law Donna having a laugh.
Donna and Glenn so cute
Husband Brad navigating the waters
Nephew Grady chilling in the boat husband Brad in the foreground
The Camp
A Jack Fish floating belly up. The swollen belly from trying to eat another fish that was too big. At this point he is still alive.
Up close and personal with the mouth of a Jack
Brad and Glenn pulling a fish out of a larger fishes mouth with pliers
With the half eaten white fish successfully removed, it lays in the blue container. It was clear that the Jackfish was not going to make it. So Glenn swiftly put it out of his misery.
Secretly I think he enjoyed it.
My mom in law Donna Flails around in the boat as we are bouncing over rough waters
Donna likes to look through a make shift hole she makes with here fingers. I think it helps her pin point things when she looks at landscape.
Donna holding onto her borrowed hat and a flower that husband Glenn gave her, plucked from a pond of Lilly pads.
Early morning sunrise over the bay at Grayling Lodge. The orange sun is burning it’s way through the thick smoke from surrounding forest fires.
The float plane coming to take us back to reality and civilization.
